UPK Direct Placement with MHELC for Current Families

Step 1 | It is very important to apply for UPK in the UPK PORTAL between December 17, 2024, and February 3, 2025. There will be limited spots available and applying between these dates will ensure you have a spot for the 2025-26 school year. Failure to apply during this direct placement period will result in being put in the matching round and possibly NOT being matched with MHELC.

Step 2 | February 3-10, 2025, Families MUST accept the UPK match in the UPK Portal.

Step 3 | Emails will be sent out by MHELC to confirm class options and the families will then “Re-register” in MyProcare.com, selecting the class and paying the $165 registration fee.

New Families Enrolling in UPK Pre-K

Step 1 | New and incoming families will need to apply in the UPK PORTAL between December 17, 2024, and February 5, 2025. This will not be a direct placement match, and families will have to wait until the Family -to-Provider matching round to run on February 10, 2025.

Step 2 | Families will be notified of matches on February 24, 2025, and if matched MUST accept or decline the match on the UPK Portal by March 3, 2025.

Step 3 | Families that are matched will be contacted by MHELC and instructed to enroll in the preschool’s application process.

The Nappos

“Thank you for teaching our kids God’s love and the strength that comes from above. At home we overheard our son singing Philippians 4:13 and our hearts could not be more overjoyed. What a gift MHELC has been to our family and I am sure we are not alone in witnessing the kingdom strengthen from your efforts. Many Blessings and Much Gratitude!”

Nikki Beach

“I just wanted to brag on our kids’ teacher and how wonderful she is. Our kids were going to miss a special event in the classroom, she saved their Charlie Brown Feast, Thanksgiving Hats and books read in class and delivered these to our house so they could still be a part of the happenings of their class. She offered instantly and it made me so happy, yet again, that we chose Mission Hills ELC and God gave us the right teacher!”

Kristyn, Rich, Everett, + Lynne Borger (Grandma)

“THANK YOU to our Director and our [son’s teachers] for caring for him with the same love that Jesus would give him. So thankful that he learns a Bible story and Bible verse, and a Virtue, and has a Family Challenge [each month]. Thank you for ALL you do and the LOVE you pour into all the children. It means a lot!”

Holly Young

“Our daughter runs to me when she gets home every day from school and says, “I love school!”  Holly Young

Mary Bloedow

“We love MHELC! The staff is always happy to see us and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. I like their safety procedures and feel so comfortable dropping off my 2-year-old there. She always loves going to class.”
