ELC Guidelines for Back to School | Fall 2021

As of August 20th and in accordance to the Public Health order published by Tri-County Health Department TCHD’s Public Health Order 8.18.2021 all students and staff MHELC are mandated to wear masks while indoors. Exclusions are made during meal and outside times.

In addition to wearing masks, MHELC will continue to practice health protocols such as frequent hand washing, daily cleaning, and disinfecting, teach and practice respiratory etiquette at the highest level possible. All Parents and visitors entering the preschool are required to wear a mask as well. The number of outside visitors, including parents, will be kept to a minimum during regular preschool hours.

If at some point in time, there is opportunity to have some flexibility in the mask requirement while keeping everyone safe we will update our statement. We understand there are differing opinions on this issue, but it is our ultimate goal to keep our school, students, families and staff safe.

Please contact the Director, Shelley Gibson if you need more information regarding the Mask Mandate and how it affects MHELC.

Mission Hills Early Learning Center is dedicated to the spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development of children through innovative education. We exist to influence a child’s world for God by creating experiences for preschoolers to grow spiritually and developmentally. We count it an honor and a privilege to share this vision with our families to give each child a healthy and positive start in their education.

We offer low child/staff ratios in all of our classrooms. Our staff is loving, caring individuals who have a personal love for the Lord. We aspire to make a difference in the lives of children, families, and the community.

Weekly theme-based units provide children with guidance in their daily activities. Each age-appropriate unit helps develop social skills, language skills, pre-writing skills, and pre-reading skills. We emphasize hands-on experiences..

Our secure check-in and check-out process will help you have confidence that your child is safe in our care.

“I just want to say thanks! I know this year has been difficult, but I appreciate MHELC’s dedication to remaining open. I am confident it is a safe place for our kiddos to be right now and I am so thankful [my daughter] has school to go to when so many of our other normal activities are not happening! I truly appreciate all you are doing this school year!”

“THANK YOU to our Director and our [son’s teachers] for caring for him with the same love that Jesus would give him. So thankful that he learns a Bible story and Bible verse, and a Virtue, and has a Family Challenge [each month]. Thank you for ALL you do and the LOVE you pour into all the children. It means a lot!”
